MacDonald, who lived there with his family in the late 1840's. The site also has a Visitor Centre which contains a theatre, exhibit area and gift shop, as well as public washrooms.

Features include British and Canadian military uniforms, arms, armaments, medals, militaria and furniture of the 18th and 19th centuries.
